Short information: The Uttar Pradesh government announced more than 81,000 police vacancies for 2026-27, to be filled in phases by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB). Constable (Civil Police) and some SI posts have already started; other posts are still to be notified.

Expected Vacancies
Over 81,000 posts in total for 2026-27, as announced by the state government. Post-wise numbers will come with each notification.
Eligibility (as per the last notification)
- Constable posts: 12th pass, age usually 18 to 22 years (relaxation as per rules).
- Sub Inspector posts: graduation, age usually 21 to 28 years.
- Physical test as per post.
Final age limit, qualification, fee and number of posts will be confirmed in the new notification.
